Welcome to Canyon Lake Community Theatre

CLCT Presents Godspell, My Fair Lady and Wipeout

Godspell

If you liked Wicked, you will love Godspell (same composer).
The story of Godspell speaks to the passion to teach love
and joy in the hearts of the people, rather than hate and sadness. It speaks of loving your neighbor, forgiveness, tolerance and celebration.

The score of Godspell calls on all modern musical
influences, including Rock, Gospel and Ragtime, includes
the hit song “Day by Day”.

Please join us for this fun and musical adventure directed
by Ilene Moore and produced by Sue Collins.

My Fair Lady

my fair ladyWith the long-awaited, re-opening of Indian Beach, the magic returns to Moonlight Theater as the Canyon Lake Community Theater presents the Loverly musical, My Fair Lady. Adapted from
Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, with music by Lerner and Loewe,
it has been called the perfect musical.

The magic of theater can take individuals anywhere the imagination leads and, more than 16 years ago, that journey on a chalky yellow brick road, directed the founding members of a fledgling Canyon Lake Community Theater and Performing Arts Association to a small, concrete stage at Indian Beach.  On that magical September night
in 1993, the curtain rose and Moonlight Theater was born.  Under a blanket of towering eucalyptus trees and twinkling stars, life-long friendships were forged, dreams came to life and stars were born.

Please join us for this classic, it will be a show you won't soon forget; under the direction of Lisa Tousseau.

For questions or additional information, please contact Lisa Tousseau at: 244-9245 or click on her
name to send her an email.

Wipeout

wipeoutWax up your surfboards, get out your beach blankets and catch the wave of this swell surf musical! This year’s summer all kids’ production presented by Canyon Lake Community Theatre will take us back to a simpler time when life was keen, the music was cool and we hung out in a 1960 surf shack. Spending sunny days at Avalon Beach until Mom and Pop announce they’re selling their beloved surf shop. The developers from the nearby ritzy Cove want Avalon’s stretch of sand… for a parking lot!  All the loyal Avalon kids with names like; Riptide, Midge, Freddie Seaturtle, and  Sandy are determined—they’re not going to let that happen! Riptide, the local kahuna, enters the big
surf contest to vie for the grand prize money that will keep The Shack’s doors open, but the crowd
from the Cove will do anything to put the kibosh on Rip winning the prize money, including sabotage! When Riptide breaks his leg in a surfing accident, it’s up to Midge to step onto her Billabong and go up against the big boys. This surf musical—complete with hysterical onstage surfing will be presented at the Lodge on July 23, 24, 25, & 26. Gnarly, dudes!
