So.. Never murdered anyone, you say? Never even thought of it? You might have trouble convincing the ingenious but slightly-more-than wacko Detective Roland Beowulf Rasmussen of that fact as he blatantly accuses those in the audience of homicide about as often as Cher lurches in and out of retirement.
Never conducted a homicide investigation, you say? Never even thought of doing police work?Well…you will.
Detective Rasmussen enlists your help in determining who, among the other cast members of talk radio station KPUG is most likely to have“bumped off” a most integral character (who’s body lies quietly, though thoroughly deceased right outside the entrance door).
Every night you, the audience, acting as both judge and jury, will ultimately bust the “guilty party” based on the body of “evidence and testimony” elicited from (a) key suspects, (b) bizarre call-ins, and (c) the audience of playgoers who have managed to somehow, follow a tantalizing trail of pre-murder shenanigans where clues abound.
Writer/Director Monty Jordan has completed casting and is currently in rehearsals for this hilarious audience interactive production that goes “on air” the end of this month.
Cast members include returning veteran performer Sean Tousseau as radio personality Whit Powers. Also returning is Lisa Tousseau as the sultry Dr. Leah Mansfield. Corky Post lends his comedic talents as the station’s sleazy sales manager Bob Fergusen. Talented newcomers include Sheri Hahn portraying station owner Alice Pugsley and Jessica Bolton as Kimberly the frenetic intern turned KPUG producer. Monty Jordan will portray the investigating detective RB Rasmussen.
The production played to sold out audiences in San Diego, Phoenix and Denver and previously at the CL Country Club in 1998.
You can, in fact, become an integral part of the investigative action in this unpredictable, irreverent and often riotous Mystery Dinner Theatre Production presented by the Canyon Lake Community Theater on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings Sept 29 through Oct 1 at 6:30 pm.
A full course dinner buffet including dessert is included in the $30 ticket price and the production is ideal for clubs and organization events.
So…”who done it?” Well, that’s up to you. As we said, clues abound throughout the show.
It could be anyone on any given night and as we said, it is never the same show twice.
This is a show you don't want to miss!
